Field Assembly is published by Hemant Jindal, who is responsible for personal information handled by the publication. For privacy questions or requests, email hemantjindal890@gmail.com.

When you send us work

We receive the contact details, text, credits and links you choose to send. We use them to review your contribution, reply and, where agreed, arrange publication. Please do not include sensitive personal information or private details about other people without a valid reason and permission.

Reviewing correspondence and protecting the publication are our legitimate interests. Information needed to arrange an agreed contribution may also be used to take steps towards, or fulfil, that agreement. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Sending work does not subscribe you to marketing or transfer ownership of your work.

The form explains whether it prepares an email or sends directly. Until you send, its working copy stays in your browser. Manual messages pass through your email provider; editorial correspondence is currently received in a Gmail inbox. When direct sending is connected, Resend handles delivery and a short-lived shared counter limits sending. That counter does not store submission text, names or email addresses.

Saved information on your device

The submission form saves a draft so you can return to it. After 30 days without use, the draft is no longer restored and is cleared when you return. Older drafts receive this expiry period when first opened under the updated form. Use Clear working copy when you finish, especially on a shared device. Successful direct sending also clears that browser draft.

Your colour preference is saved in this browser. Toolkit information may remain locally where the tool says it is saved; creating or printing a sheet does not send its contents to us. You can remove or block local storage through your browser’s site settings. Removing storage may also remove saved work, so keep a copy first.

Visiting the website

Vercel hosts the website and may process request information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages and technical logs to deliver and protect it. The site does not sell submission details or run advertising trackers. Its audience map shows planning targets, not a live count of individual visitors.

Embedded video uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. Loading or playing it can share request information with Google. External sites and linked document hosts apply their own privacy notices.

Access and retention

Access to correspondence is limited to the publisher and people involved in reviewing or producing the agreed contribution. We keep correspondence for the review and any continuing publication relationship. Permission and credit records may be kept while the work is published and as needed to resolve rights or legal matters. Other correspondence is reviewed for deletion when its purpose ends.

Hosting and email providers may process information outside the UK under their service arrangements. We use their contractual safeguards where required; contact us for information about the providers relevant to your submission. We do not promise that correspondence is stored only in the UK.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, or object to use based on legitimate interests. Portability and other rights apply where the law provides them. A request may need reasonable identity checks; some records may need to be retained to meet legal duties or resolve a rights claim.
